What does InSequence do?
In short – InSequence uses engineering frameworks to enhance security, optimize assets, and drive mission success. InSequence has many business areas to serve those various needs.
IT Asset Management, Analytic Mission Support, Geospatial Analysis, Cybersecurity & Asset Risk Insight, and DevSecOps are the main areas that we support customers.

How long has InSequence been in business?
InSequence was founded in 1999, and since then, we have grown steadily while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional value to our clients and fostering a positive workplace for our employees.
What industries does InSequence serve?
We work across a range of industries, including the Federal Government, State & Local Governments, and Commercial customers. In the Federal Government, we have supported customers in the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, Department of Health and Human Services, Drug Enforcement Agency, and many more.
We have provided tailored solutions that cater to the specific challenges and needs of each sector. We pride ourselves on our deep industry knowledge and ability to adapt to evolving trends.
Where is InSequence located?
InSequence has employees all over the continental United States. We have 2 physical office locations:
- National Capital Area – Chantilly, Virginia
- Midwest – St Louis, Missouri.
Does InSequence have cleared resources?
InSequence was born in the Intelligence Community – so over 90% of our staff hold some level of security clearance. All InSequence employees are US Citizens.
ITAM & CMDB Questions
How long has InSequence been working within the ITAM field?
InSequence started supporting IT Asset Management efforts in 2014 at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
We’ve since expanded to over 40 Federal, State & Local, and Commercial Customers across the United States and have delivered over $250M in savings to our customers over that time.
What is InSequence’s ITAM core competency?
Within the ITAM field, InSequence started by simply deploying the FlexNet Manager Platform SAM tool to Government agencies in 2014. In the time since, we’ve expanded to support several different ITAM tools, offer expertise managing and optimizing license positions, SAM and CMDB health assessments, and our complete ITAM managed service: SAM365®.

What is the recruiting process like?
Our recruitment process is designed to connect talented individuals with opportunities that align with their skills and expertise.
- It begins with an initial phone screen with our Talent Management team to discuss your experience, qualifications, and career interests.
- If we have a current opportunity that matches your skills, we’ll arrange a follow-up conversation with the relevant team lead to further assess each candidate’s ability to fit into the role.
- If no immediate openings are available, you will be added to our talent network, allowing us to reach out when a suitable opportunity arises.
- For roles requiring customer approval, an additional interview with the customer may be necessary before final acceptance.
This process ensures we effectively match candidates with the right opportunities while maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
